Action Items Overview

Action Items are follow-up tasks created from walk findings, assessment results, or manually. When a criterion scores below expectations, you can create an action item to track the remediation.

  • Create action items from walk results, assessments, or manually from the Follow-ups page
  • Assign them to store managers or team members
  • Set priority — low, medium, high, or critical
  • Set due dates for timely resolution

Action items can be viewed and filtered from the Follow-ups page.

Resolving with Photos

Assigned team members resolve action items by submitting evidence:

  • Resolution notes — describe what was done to fix the issue
  • Resolution photos — upload photos proving the issue has been addressed

Once a resolution is submitted, the action item moves to pending review status.

Review, Approve & Push-Back

Action items follow a structured review lifecycle:

  1. Open — the action item is created and assigned
  2. In Progress — the assignee is working on it
  3. Pending Review — the assignee has submitted a resolution with photos
  4. Approved — a reviewer confirms the resolution is satisfactory
  5. Pushed Back — the reviewer rejects the resolution with feedback, sending it back to the assignee

Reviewers (admins, regional managers, or the walk evaluator) can approve or push back from the action item detail page. Push-backs include a note explaining what still needs to be done, and the assignee is notified to re-address the item.
